Welcome to the International School of Vietnam

School Facilities

The classrooms at ISV are designed with safety as a prime focus and so all our classrooms have emergency exits in case of any eventuality. As ISV is a green school, natural lighting and ventilation has been taken into account for the benefit of the students. Each classroom is equipped with an LCD projector, a white board as well as ample space for displays. In the primary section, the furniture and equipment has been chosen with the utmost care and so every room is provided with age-specific resources appropriate for each age level.

Gymnasium and Theatre

The gymnasium floor is a vinyl sports surface, with high impact absorption, underfoot support and good playing performance.

This venue can be transformed into a theatre space allowing in excess of 1000 spectators.  The space has a proscenium arch theatre stage.

The facility is fully lit and air conditioned.

Swimming Pools

ISV boasts two indoor swimming pools: one dedicated early years pool and one 25-metre pool allowing for 6-lane competitions.

The dedicated early years pool allows young children and new swimmers an opportunity to grow in confidence and to learn through play. This pool follows international standards and is equipped with full width steps to allow easy access. The competition pool is 25 metres long and six lanes wide and adheres to British Swim Club level standards meaning it is ideal for hosting local and international contests.

Along with this fabulous facility with equally pleasant changing facilities, we offer a variety of activities and courses over the year.

Library & Media Centre

In support of the ISV’s mission statement, the aim of the school Library and Media Resource Centre is to help each student excel and achieve maximum potential through inquiry-based learning by fostering a love of reading, and promoting the effective use of information and communications technology.

The ISV Library and Media Resource Centre is designed as an inviting 21st century learning environment where students are able to access a wide variety of print and digital resources, with zones to engage in collaborative independent learning and where they learn to develop their information literacy skills and knowledge creation.

The educator-librarian and library staff, partner with the larger ISV community to empower students in becoming internationally-minded, life-long learners, responsible citizens and creative problem solvers.

The school employs a highly reputable security company providing 24-hour security protection.  The security guards also act as traffic controllers for the school.

Specific procedures exist at the school for the safety of all the staff and students.  As a result, the security guards are unable to exercise flexibility, meaning any failure to adhere to the school procedures could result in a parent being refused access to the school premises.
